Nancun Water Purification Plant
Zhuhai, Guangdong, China
Year: 2025
BUA: 1,398 m²
The site for this project presents an irregular quadrilateral shape, with a north-south length of approximately 40 meters and an east-west width ranging from 24 to 37 meters. Due to its unique geographical location, the Nan Village Water Purification Plant is not merely an industrial structure; it must also achieve a high degree of integration with the surrounding natural environment, offering distinctive landscapes, practical spaces, and functional harmony.
After thorough consideration of spatial planning, functional utility, and landscape design, we have merged industrial elements with an island-inspired aesthetic. The façade adopts a modern minimalist design foundation, spatial arrangements prioritize compactness and comfort, and the landscaping draws upon the resources of the island environment. These three-dimensional considerations provide the conceptual framework for the Nan Village Water Purification Plant.
Space: Compact and cohesive three-dimensional layouts, complemented by comfortable in-between spaces.
Utility: Practical and adaptable spaces integrating industrial support facilities with cultural and tourism resources.
Landscape: Utilization of the unique island landscape to enhance the facility's distinctive identity.
